The Escarra group hosted dozens of middle school students as part of Tulane’s BATS (Boys at Tulane in STEM) outreach program on February 4, 2017. The students engaged in hands-on experiments to see how energy is converted from light to electricity to mechanical energy. The BATS program and the parallel GIST program are held once per semester and hosted by Tulane’s School of Science and Engineering.
