Matt and Sid gave talks on switchable metasurfaces and metalenses using phase change materials and Tim and Aamir presented posters on 2D materials for high specific power photovoltaics at MRS in San Francisco, Ca from April 10-14, 2023. The title of the talks were: “Metasurfaces from Tunable Materials”, and “All-Dielectric, Switchable Metalenses using Sb2S3 Phase Change Material”. The title of the posters were: “Optoelectronic Properties of stacked CVD-grown MoS2 Monolayers Towards High-Performance 2D Material-Based Photovoltaics”, and “Large-Area, High-Specific-Power Photovoltaics from CVD-Grown Monolayer MoS2”. It was so exciting to meet up and enjoy a meal at the Happy Lamb Hot Pot with group alumni Qi, Briley, Luke and Tomas. We even took some time off to visit the Golden Gate bridge and take a hike to the Marin Headlands, with a hike to Battery Spencer observation deck and a hike to the Kirby Cove beach.
